Delete your Dietify account
Dietify is made by Smart Horizon. You can delete your Dietify account and its data at any time, with or without the app.
Quickest: in the app
Open Dietify (if you reinstalled it, sign in first), then Profile and settings › Privacy › Privacy choices › Delete account and confirm. Your account and its data are deleted from our servers and from your phone at once.
Can't use the app?
Email dietify.support@smarthorizon.co from the email address on your Dietify account and ask us to delete it. To protect your account, we reply to that address and ask you to confirm. Once you confirm, we delete the account within 30 days and tell you when it is done. If you signed in with Apple and chose Hide My Email, write from the address it forwards to and tell us the relay address.
Accounts without an email address (every install starts with an anonymous account) can only be deleted in the app, because we cannot tell who they belong to. An anonymous account that is not used for 90 days is deleted automatically, unless it has an active Premium subscription.
What is deleted
Your account, your diet profile, your recipes with their notes and pictures, saved ingredient values, grocery list, meal plan, food log, cooked history, tweak conversations, uploaded files, notification tokens and settings. If you signed in with Apple, we also withdraw Dietify's access to your Apple account.
What is kept
- Usage records (the time, type, outcome and cost of each request, with no recipe content) are kept without your user ID, for our accounts.
- Apple or Google keep their own records of your purchases.
- Emails you sent to our support inbox, for as long as we need them to help you.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel it in your store settings.
Delete some data and keep your account
In the app you can delete recipes, logged meals, list items and saved ingredient values. For anything else, email us. Our Privacy Policy explains all your choices.
